This rare cancer develops from trophoblastic cells, which help form the placenta during pregnancy. It usually appears after a molar pregnancy, a condition where abnormal tissue grows inside the uterus instead of a normal fetus.
In her heartfelt message, Arij explained that she was diagnosed with this rare cancer early. She called this early detection a “huge blessing” because choriocarcinoma is often found too late. She described it as an aggressive disease that spreads quickly if untreated.
