Ryan Reynolds has sparked fresh speculation among Marvel fans after posting a mysterious image on social media. The picture blended the Avengers’ famous “A” logo with the anarchist “A,” without any caption.
The post immediately set the internet buzzing. Many fans believe it hints that Deadpool could join the Avengers in upcoming films such as Avengers: Doomsday or Avengers: Secret Wars.
The timing of the tease has caught attention. Marvel Studios has been facing concerns over its post-Endgame performance, with the recent Fantastic Four receiving a lukewarm box office response. Industry insiders say Marvel boss Kevin Feige is expected to bring in big, fan-favourite characters to boost the franchise.
Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool could be exactly the chaotic energy the Avengers need. His sharp humour and unpredictable nature make him a unique addition to the team’s dynamic.
The recent Deadpool & Wolverine film already laid the groundwork for a crossover. It introduced TVA links, time jumps, Wolverine’s move into the MCU, and Deadpool’s open plan to break the MCU’s rules.
Set leaks from Avengers: Doomsday show TVA agents in action, strengthening the connection between the films. With Phase 6 exploring multiverse chaos, Deadpool fits right into the storyline.
Reports suggest Avengers: Doomsday will feature multiple timelines, variants, and a massive ensemble of legacy characters from Fox, Sony, and early MCU projects. In such a setting, Deadpool’s fourth-wall-breaking humour would stand out even more.
Ryan Reynolds has also been linked to the 2027 release of Avengers: Secret Wars, possibly alongside Hugh Jackman. However, there has been no official confirmation from Marvel.
Marvel reportedly has no immediate plans for Deadpool 4, but Reynolds has hinted at other possible projects, including an Uncanny X-Force adaptation. A role in the Avengers films would keep Deadpool active on the big screen without requiring another solo outing.
Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled for release on 18 December 2026, followed by Avengers: Secret Wars on 17 December 2027.
Earlier, in an interview with Time Magazine, Reynolds shared his long-term vision for Deadpool. He revealed he wants the antihero to become a regular supporting character across the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Deadpool, whose real name is Wade Wilson, has already won over fans with his stand-alone films. Reynolds’ bold and hilarious portrayal has made the character a pop-culture icon. Whether in a leading role or a surprise cameo, Deadpool always steals the spotlight with his no-filter personality.
Reynolds said it is this strong audience reaction that motivates him to push for Deadpool’s inclusion in more Marvel films even if he is not the central character.
Since Reynolds’ cryptic post, social media has been filled with fan theories, memes, and excitement. Many hope the tease means Deadpool will soon share the screen with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
While Marvel has yet to make any announcements, one thing is certain the possibility of Deadpool joining the Avengers has reignited fan enthusiasm for the MCU’s next phase.
The much-anticipated 28 Years Later has begun streaming, marking a bold return to the chilling world of the Rage Virus.
