NCCIA Reveals Shocking Details in Ducky Bhai Case

LAHORE: The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has unveiled critical details in the Ducky Bhai case, involving popular YouTuber Saad ur Rehman. Known online as Ducky Bhai, he was arrested at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport over alleged involvement in illegal online gambling.

According to NCCIA officials, Ducky Bhai acted as the “country manager” for unregistered gambling apps, promoting platforms such as Binomo, 1xBet, Bet365, and B9 Game. Investigators said he encouraged followers to invest in these apps, which later defrauded users of millions of rupees.

An FIR was registered following reports that social media influencers were luring the public into gambling for personal gain. Officials noted that many ordinary citizens, already under economic stress, suffered substantial financial losses due to these promotions.

Investigators added that Ducky Bhai did not cooperate with earlier inquiries. His name was placed on the Provisional National Identification List (PNIL) before he was intercepted at the airport while attempting to travel abroad. During his arrest, authorities recovered an iPhone 16 Pro Max containing WhatsApp chats and records of illegal payments related to Binomo promotions.

Officials also revealed that his appointment as “Country Manager” for Binomo lacked authorization from Pakistani authorities, including the State Bank of Pakistan. Preliminary evidence points to violations under sections 13, 14, 25, and 26 of PECA 2016 (amended 2025), as well as sections 294-13 and 420 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

Ducky Bhai was produced before a duty magistrate and placed on a two-day physical remand under NCCIA. Authorities are now scrutinizing his financial records and assets. The investigation is ongoing, with further roles of potential accomplices expected to emerge soon.

The case has sparked debate in Pakistan regarding social media influencers’ responsibilities and the regulation of online gambling. Officials urge the public to exercise caution when investing in unlicensed platforms promoted online.
