Popular Pakistani actor Dur-e-Fishan Saleem has finally addressed the ongoing rumors about her alleged secret marriage with fellow actor Bilal Abbas Khan. Speaking in a recent interview with a local media outlet, the Ishq Murshid and Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi star clarified that the speculations are completely false.
For months, fans speculated about a possible nikah between the two actors due to their strong on-screen chemistry and frequent public appearances together. The rumors intensified after their joint appearance at the finale premiere of Ishq Murshid and were further fueled by a YouTuber’s claims about a secret wedding and a shared Umrah trip.
Dur-e-Fishan, however, dismissed all the gossip, choosing calm and clarity over controversy. “I respond to all by not responding,” she said, explaining that silence was her way of addressing the baseless chatter.
She emphasized that the bond between her and Bilal is strictly professional and rooted in mutual comfort while working together. “You need to be most comfortable with your co-actor, especially in romantic scenes,” she shared. “And that comfort was always there between me and Bilal, from day one.”
Dur-e-Fishan went on to explain the difference between secrecy and privacy. She credited her father for teaching her to keep personal life private, not hidden. “When I say personal, I don’t mean secret. There’s a difference,” she said. “My private life will stay mine as long as I choose to keep it that way.”
She added that when the time comes, she will share her wedding photos like everyone else. “Everybody posts a picture the second it happens. Why would someone prolong posting a picture?”

She pointed out that had there been any truth to the rumors, actual wedding photos would have surfaced by now. Reflecting on her working relationship with Bilal Abbas Khan, Dur-e-Fishan described it as “lighthearted and joyful.” Their natural chemistry, she explained, stems from laughter and ease during shooting, not from a personal relationship off-screen.
She also stated that people often misunderstand such comfort between co-stars. “Things only become strange when you let them become strange,” she remarked.
The actress also opened up about her growing popularity in the entertainment industry. “I’ve been in the industry for about five years, and the affection I receive is both a blessing and a bit scary,” she admitted. She said the love from fans keeps her motivated to be selective about the projects she takes on.
However, she expressed discomfort with the intense speculation surrounding her personal life. “It gets overwhelming when fans blur the line between reel and real,” she said.
