The weather in Karachi stayed partly cloudy on Monday with high humidity levels. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), there is a chance of light rain in the city over the next few days.
The minimum temperature recorded in the morning was 26.9°C, while the current temperature stands at 30°C. Humidity levels remain high at 81%, making the conditions muggy. Winds are blowing from the southwest at around 15 km/h.
The Karachi rain forecast suggests that the sky will stay partly cloudy this week. Drizzle or light showers may occur in some areas, but no heavy rainfall is expected. Daytime temperatures are likely to stay between 31°C and 33°C, with humid conditions continuing.
Across the country, monsoon activity remains active. Takht Bhai in Mardan received the highest rainfall of 79 mm in the past 24 hours. The Met Office has predicted more rain, wind, and thundershowers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Islamabad, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan in the coming hours.
Morning temperatures in major cities showed Islamabad, Quetta, and Muzaffarabad at 22°C, Lahore at 28°C, Karachi at 27°C, and Peshawar at 24°C. Gilgit recorded 20°C, while Murree was much cooler at 12°C.
Meanwhile, the forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir indicates cloudy skies with intermittent rain, wind, and thundershowers. Some areas may face isolated heavy rainfall. Srinagar, Pulwama, and Anantnag recorded 19°C in the morning, Jammu 25°C, Leh 13°C, and Shopian and Baramulla 20°C.
For Karachi residents, the next few days are expected to bring cloudy weather with high humidity. Light showers remain possible, but the city is unlikely to face the kind of heavy downpours that recently hit other parts of Pakistan.
