Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has delivered a strong message to both Israel and the United States. Speaking on Wednesday, Khamenei referred to Israel as a “dog on a leash” of the US and warned that Iran is capable of launching more powerful attacks if provoked again.
The comments come as tensions remain high in the region. Khamenei praised Iran’s readiness to confront its enemies, calling it a sign of national strength. He referred to Iran’s past retaliation during the 12-day conflict with Israel as an example of its military capability.
The Khamenei Israel US Remarks have gained international attention. Last month, the US had carried out strikes on Iranian nuclear and military sites. Iran maintains that its nuclear activities are strictly peaceful. In retaliation, Iran struck a US military base in Qatar. Khamenei described that base as “extremely sensitive” and said even stronger responses could be delivered if needed.
Meanwhile, nuclear negotiations between Iran and the West remain at a standstill. Iran’s parliament, through a statement released by the Iranian Students’ News Agency, said Tehran will not return to talks unless its preconditions are met. This comes despite pressure from the US, France, Germany, and the UK, who are pushing for a new agreement before the end of August.
If talks fail, European officials have warned that all lifted sanctions under the 2015 nuclear deal could be automatically reinstated.
Khamenei also emphasized Iran’s strength in diplomacy. He stated that Iran never enters negotiations from a position of weakness, urging Iranian diplomats to follow national guidelines while continuing their efforts.
The Khamenei Israel US Remarks highlight Iran’s defiance amid growing international demands and the looming threat of renewed sanctions.
