Karachi: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) will hold open courts in Karachi on August 29, 2025, to address public concerns about identity documents. This initiative comes under the directives of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.
Two open court sessions will be organized at major locations in the city. The first session will take place at Mega Centre, SITE Industrial Area, Siemens Chowrangi Zone, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The second session will be held at Mega Centre, Plot D 1-15, Block L, District Central, North Nazimabad Zone, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
Residents are encouraged to attend the session nearest to them and bring all relevant documents. These may include CNICs, Family Registration Certificates, and other identity-related papers. NADRA officials will provide on-the-spot assistance to resolve these document issues.
The open courts are part of NADRA’s ongoing efforts to improve public service accessibility and transparency. This initiative allows citizens to directly interact with NADRA representatives and receive timely support.
NADRA is Pakistan’s official agency responsible for managing citizen identity records. It issues CNICs, B-Forms, and Family Registration Certificates, among other essential documents. To facilitate easier access, NADRA also provides the Pak ID mobile application. This digital platform allows users to apply for identity documents, upload required files, track their application progress, and make payments online.
The Pak ID app is particularly beneficial for overseas Pakistanis and those seeking hassle-free services without visiting NADRA offices. Recently, NADRA upgraded the app to include a tracking feature, enabling citizens to monitor their application status directly on their mobile devices.
With these efforts, NADRA aims to enhance service efficiency, reduce the need for physical visits, and ensure citizens can access essential identity services conveniently.
