The National Savings Centre in Rawalpindi has announced the results of the Rs750 prize bond draw for July 2025. The draw was held on Tuesday, July 15, at 10:00am.
According to officials, the first prize of Rs1.5 million was awarded to prize bond number 953346. The second prize of Rs500,000 each went to three winners with bond numbers 294897, 651248, and 965105.
The complete list of third prize winners is also available. Thousands of bondholders across the country participated in this quarterly draw.
Revised Tax on Prize Money
Along with the draw, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has updated the tax policy for prize money. Winners who are tax filers will now pay a 15% withholding tax. Non-filers, however, will face a higher deduction of 30%.
This step is part of ongoing efforts to boost tax compliance and formalize the economy. Tax experts believe the move will encourage more people to register with the FBR.
Popular Saving Tool
Rs750 prize bonds remain one of the most widely held savings instruments in Pakistan. They are backed by the government and are considered a safe option for investment. The chance to win cash prizes also adds to their popularity.
The prize bond scheme is managed by the Central Directorate of National Savings (CDNS) and has been operating since the 1960s. Draws are held quarterly in different cities under a pre-announced schedule.
